Operates and manipulates various radio and computer components necessary in the provision of the air traffic communications services to aircraft on international flights;
Maintains continuous guard on all assigned network frequencies. (covering the following neighboring countries: San Francisco, Japan, Taipei, Hongkong, Ho-chi-minh, Singapore, Kota Kinabalu, Udjung Pandang) ;
Posts and decodes flight plan data and aircraft position reports;
Interprets and relays en route meteorological information,
Receives and relays air-reports, position reports, aircraft requests and other aeronautical information thru Aeronautical Telecommunications System;
Processes and transmits aeronautical information and air traffic messages in accordance with prescribed ICAO format and computer flight data conventions;
Assists in handling flight following information to all international flights diverting Manila FIR (Flight Information Region);
Provides alerting and emergency assistance service to aircraft in distress or in a state of emergency;
Ensures accurate dissemination of air reports and other aircraft messages to all international and domestic addressees concerned in accordance with pre-determined distribution arrangements programmed into the computer system;
Coordinate with other aeronautical telecommunication network station to ensure maximum dependability of the international air-ground communications service during communication difficulties;
Provides network intercept service to all flights over which the station is a regular station;
